Brewer, Catherine S.Catherine S. (Donato) Brewer, age 84 of Bridgeport, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 27, 2014. Born in Bridgeport on May 25, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Gaetano and Mary (Trapasso) Donato. Catherine was a retired secretary from the former Lafayette Bank & Trust and was a volunteer at St. Vincent's Medical Center. Survivors include her grandson, Joseph Gaudreau and granddaughter, Jennifer Gaudreau both residing in Florida, her step-granddaughter, Michelle of Shelton, her sister, Rose (Donato) Saja of Tigard, Oregon and husband Eddie, aunts, uncles and several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews all of who loved and cared for her very deeply. She was predeceased by her daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and Joseph Gaudreau of Port St. Lucie, FL., sister, Evelyn (Donato) Bocchino of Monroe, brother, Joseph Donato of Florida, brother, Ralph Donato of Bridgeport. Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at 10:00 AM DIRECTLY in St. Margaret's Shrine, 2523 Park Ave., Bridgeport with a Mass of the Christian Burial. Entombment in St. Michael Cemetery, Garden Mausoleum, Stratford. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements entrusted to the Parente-Lauro Funeral Home, 559 Washington Ave., Bridgeport.
