ST. GERMAIN, Carrie Maude August 1925 - November 2005 It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of our dear mother, Carrie St. Germain on November 27, 2005. Born in Garthland, Saskatchewan, daughter of the late Andy and the late Mary Knickerbocker (nee Neubuhr). Carrie left the farm life to join the Army, where she met the love of her life, her late husband Norman John St. Germain. Carrie will be missed by her children Sandra (Paul) of Kanata, Faye (Andy) of Abbotsford, B.C., Glenn (Judy) of Stittsville, and Wenda (Terry) of Wetaskiwin, Alberta, her grandchildren, Nathan (Carla), Christopher, Nadine, Trevor, Alyson and Graham, and one great-granddaughter, Olivia. She is survived by her brothers Guy (Anne) of Calgary and Gale (Rose) and her sister Alice (Wes) of British Columbia. Predeceased by her sister Anne. A caring and gentle person, Carrie's courage and faith sustained her throughout the trials and celebrations of her life. A long time resident of Stittsville, Carrie spent some of her happiest years with her husband in Florida (after the children had gone!). She proved to be a late bloomer on the golf course where she shot two holes-in-one, within a few years of taking up the game. Carrie's other loves were cards, animals and the outdoors. A celebration of Carrie's life will be held at the Salvation Army Grace Manor, 1156 Wellington Street, on Wednesday, November 30, 2005 at 7 p.m. A reception will follow. Special thanks to the wonderful staff, volunteers and residents of the Salvation Army Grace Manor, who cared for her, supported our family and ensured a peaceful end-of-life process.
