EDGEFIELD, S.C. - Mrs. Carrie Patten Ramsey, 85, entered into rest January 29, 2010. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, February 6, 2010, at Bethlehem Baptist Church, Edgefield, with the Rev. Edward Lloyd officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Mrs. Ramsey, a native of Edgefield County, was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church where she was a member of the Senior Choir Ministry, Deaconess Ministry, and President Emeritus of the Willing Workers Club. Before retirement, she worked at Edgefield Health Care Center and Strom Thurmond High School. Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn Ramsey and Christine (Ronald) Morgan; a son, Rufus Callaham; three sisters, Arlena Moore, Mae Julia Holmes, and Leola Newman; two grandchildren, Lauren K. Ramsey and Robert Ramsey; godson, Eddie L. Glover; a host of other relatives and friends. Friends may call at the residence of her sister, Mae Julia Holmes, 455 Edisto Drive, North Augusta, S.C. or after 1 p.m. today at the funeral home.
