Funeral services for Carrie Ilean Holmes, 61, of Hollister, Missouri, will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, March 26, 2009, in Greenlawn Funeral Home in Branson, Missouri with burial to follow in the Highlandville Cemetery. Carrie passed away at 1:55 a.m., Monday, March 23, 2009, in her home. She was born on September 29, 1947, in Independence, Missouri, the daughter of William and Enid Holmes O'Neil. She had been a resident of the area for the past 28 years and had her own cleaning service. Survivors are her two children, Carrie Youngblood and husband, Elton of Hollister, Missouri, Scott O'Neil and wife, Jenny of Olathe, Kansas; a brother, Bill O'Neil of Hollister, Mo.; three sisters, Sylvia Brush of Lee's Summit, Mo., Irene Garrett and husband, John of Willard, Mo;, and Nell Barrett of Pleasant Hill, Mo.; her in-laws, A.K. & Mary Holmes of Branson, Mo.; five grandchildren, Hannah Youngblood, Jayden Youngblood, Tony Youngblood, Travis Youngblood and Jacob O'Neil. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Richard Holmes. Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, in the funeral home.
