MANCHESTER -- Carolyn R. Harris, 94, died July 30, 2010, at the Hanover Hill Health Care Center. She was born in Somerville, Mass., Oct. 4, 1915, to Charles and Bernice Hastings (Rice) Crossett. She was a member of St. Joseph Cathedral and was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved playing the piano and organ. She enjoyed nature and saw nature through a painter's eye. She was also an avid reader and enjoyed sewing. Members of the family include sister Edythe Reiger of Stowe, Ohio; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. She was the widow of Joseph A. Harris, who died Sept. 26, 2001. IN HER LIFE: She was predeceased by two daughters, Joan Desrosier and Jane Lamy; brother Charles Crossett; and two sisters, Mary Wakeman and Janet Bouchard. SERVICES: There are no calling hours. A memorial Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Cathedral chapel. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Manchester.
