CAROLYN JOHNSON NEE EICH MERRILLVILLE, IN Carolyn Johnson,(nee) Eich, age 68 of Merrillville, passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2010. She is survived by two children: Daniel Johnson of Indianapolis, IN and Karen (Aaron) Cichocki of Collierville, TN; two grandchildren: David and Cody Cichocki; parents: Paul and Margie Eich of Merrillville, IN; four sisters: Jean (Larry) Coin of Merrillville, IN, Diane (Fred) Combs of Michigan City, IN, Mary Beth Eich of Michigan City, IN, and Laura (Peter) Javorka of Lansing, IL; one brother, Terry (Diane) Eich of Hebron, IN; brother-in-law, William (Nida) Johnson of Waukesha, WI; and numerous nieces and nephews. Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, David Johnson; and sister, Dorothy Magee. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Thursday, March 4, 2010 at 10:00 AM directly at SS. Peter & Paul Church, 5885 Harrison St., Merrillville, with Rev. Roy Beeching, officiating. Interment to follow at Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville. Friends may visit with the family at Geisen Funeral Home, 7905 Broadway, Merrillville, IN on Wednesday, March 3,2010 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday directly at the church from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 10:00 AM. A prayer service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home. Carolyn was a member of Ss. Peter & Paul Church and retired from the Merrillville School System after several years of teaching. Carolyn was a loving and gracious person, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
