Carolyn J. Roberts, 72, Cortland, passed away at 1:35 a.m. Friday, May 4, 2007, at Schneck Medical Center, Seymour. Mrs. Roberts was a member of Cortland Christian Church. She formerly worked at Arvin Industry in Columbus and Dicksons in Seymour. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, a great friend and caretaker of many, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Born July 25, 1934, in Jackson County, she was a daughter of Ray and Jessie Anderson Lewis, both of whom preceded her in death. On Nov. 28, 1953, in Acme, she married Ernest Dale Roberts, who preceded her in death in 1996. She is survived by her son, Troy D. Roberts; three grandchildren, Rachel J. Roberts, Dale M. Roberts and Russell D. Roberts; her sister, Ruth Hohenstreiter; and her brother, Larry W. (Shirley) Lewis. She was preceded in death by an infant brother and a sister, Edna Cockerham. The Rev. Clifton Burton will conduct funeral services at 4 p.m. Sunday at Voss Chapel, Seymour. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery, Seymour, with a graveside service being held at 10 a.m. Monday.
