Canon, Georgia - Mrs. Carolyn Hill Harris, of McGee Road, Canon, Georgia died Monday, March 1, 2004 at her home.Mrs. Harris was born in Franklin County, Georgia, January 20, 1953, daughter of Mrs. Ida Mae Hunter Hill and the late Arnold Richard Hill. Mrs. Harris was a homemaker. She was a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Lavonia, Georgia where she was active in the Gleaners Sunday School Class and the WMU.Survivors include in addition to her mother: Husband, Larry G. Harris, Canon, Georgia; Son, Joshua G. Harris, Lavonia, Georgia; Daughter & Son-in-Law, Shawna Harris & Jason Campbell, Lavonia, Georgia; Grandson, Tyler G. Campbell, Lavonia, Georgia; Brothers, Richard, Dean, Jerry, and Terry Hill, all of Canon, Georgia; Sisters, Jane Bond and Judy Hill, both of Royston, Georgia, Rev. Barbara Vaughn and Tammie Chappelear, both of Lavonia, Georgia, Nancy Busby of Canon, Georgia.Funeral Services for Mrs. Harris will be at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 03, 2004 at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Lavonia, Georgia with Rev. Davis Lacey, Rev. John Forbes, and Rev. Johnny Stowe officiating. Entombment will follow in the Franklin Memorial Gardens-North. Pallbearers will be Tim Chitwood, Kevin Busby, Scott Busby, Brandon Hill, Don Styles, Truitt Spears, Don Milford, and Asa Collins. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Gleaners Sunday School Class and the Men of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.The body is at the Pruitt Funeral Home in Royston, Georgia where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 Tuesday Evening. The body will be placed in the church at 2:30 Wednesday afternoon. The family is at home. Flowers are optional.
