FAYETTEVILLE, Ga. Mrs. Carolyn Harris, 93, of Fayetteville, Ga., formerly of Tuscaloosa, Ala., died July 12, 2007. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a long time elementary school teacher in the Tuscaloosa School system. She was a member of St. Luke's Methodist Church of Tuscaloosa, Ala. where she was the organist, pianist, and choir director for several years.She is survived by her son, Merle (Betty) Harris of Massachusetts; her daughter, Carol (Gene) Key of Fayetteville, Ga.; grandchildren, Jeffrey Harris and Katy Todd of Massachusetts, Scott Key of Huntsville, Ala. and Kimberly Key of Cumming, Ga.; great grandchildren, Becky, Matthew, Hunter, and Tanner; and sister, Sally Ferry of Des Moines, Iowa.Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, July 15, 2007, at Memory Hill Gardens in Tuscaloosa, Ala. with Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home of Fayetteville, Ga. directing and Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, handling local arrangements.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Carolyn's memory to: Southwest Christian Care Hope House, 7225 Lester Rd., Union City, GA 30291; or Fayette Youth Protection Home, 125 Commerce Drive Suite D, Fayetteville, GA 30214.
