TUSCALOOSA | Carolyn Arnold Smith, age 83, of Tuscaloosa, Ala., passed away August 19, 2014 in Monroe, Ga. Ms. Smith was born in Montgomery, Ala. and was preceded in death by her son, Charles L. Smith, Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Smith of Lawrenceville, Ga.; brother, George Dewey Arnold, Jr. of Maryland; and grandson, Clay Smith of Lawrenceville, Ga. A Celebration of Life visitation will be held on September 4, 2014 between 3-5 p.m. at the Chapel of First Baptist Church, Tuscaloosa, Ala.
