Carole Mary Gallagher passed away peacefully on Jan. 31, 2010, in Raleigh, N.C. The family will receive friends on Tuesday Feb. 2, 2010, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Mitchell Funeral Home, 7209 Glenwood Ave., Raleigh, N.C. A Funeral Mass will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 3, St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 11401 Leesville Rd. A memorial service will also be held in New Jersey in mid February. Condolences can be sent to the family at www.mitchell raleighmemorial.com. Carole was born in Somerville, N.J., where she and her brother, Ken, were raised by their parents, John and Mary Andresko. She worked in sales administration for Ethicon Inc. for many years in New Jersey. Carole was a devoted mother who loved raising her two children, Erin and John. She enjoyed baking and was well known for her desserts. Carole is survived by her husband of 25 years, Ed; daughter, Erin, and son, John. She will be dearly missed by her family and many friends who loved and cared for her. The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation for Carole's friends, who never failed in their support and care for her during her illness. For their tireless care of Carole, the family also thanks the staff of Waverly Hematology Oncology, especially Mark Graham and Evan Dropkin, as well as Hospice of Wake County.
