She graduated from Central Missouri State University with a Bachelor's degree in English. Carol served in the United States Air Force, during the Vietnam War, obtaining the rank of Captain. Over the last few years Carol's love for dogs allowed her to foster several with placement in good homes.She is survived by her husband of 19 years, Rodney Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents. Arrangements and cremation have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home South.A Memorial Service will be held at a later date at the funeral home.
