Carol-Jean Alexander, née en 1944, conjointe de Michael Alexander, est décédée le 12 novembre 2010. Veuillez consulter son avis de décès ici:
Alexander, Carol Jean, "CJ", 66, of Margate, FL, a beloved daughter, mother, sister, wife and friend, passed away on Friday, November 12, 2010. "No" was not a word in her vocabulary. Neither was the word "later." CJ lost her valiant fight to pancreatic cancer and, during her painful ordeal, never complained. She will never be forgotten by those she loved, helped and touched. Married to her lifelong love Michael for 44 years, Alexander was a doting wife, mother and grandmother. She was also a tireless employee at the family business, M & P Services, in Delray Beach where, for many years, she served as office manager. However, her biggest love was spending time with her four grandchildren who she spoiled beyond words. Born on October 8, 1944, in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia to the late Cleo Travis, a US serviceman from Oklahoma, and Mary Pawsey of Jamaica, she was raised in May Pen, Jamaica and attended Hampton School. She married her sweetheart, Michael, in 1966. They had two children, Robert - a renowned boat captain and marine mechanic from Boca Raton, and Nancy - a longtime employee of Broward County Public Schools from Hollywood. In 1974, the couple moved to Pompano Beach where they raised their children. Unselfish, caring, generous, supportive, loving, honest, and loyal are just a few words that described Alexander. In addition to her husband Michael, mother Mary and children Robert and Nancy, she is survived by brothers Mark and Paul Travis; sister N'Cole Travis Menendez; grandchildren Olivia, Rebecca and Tyler Alexander and Nina Mendieta and a grandbaby on the way; daughter-in-law Paula Schmitt Alexander, son-in-law Juan C. Mendieta, several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends who have been left with a huge void in their lives. She was the heart of her family. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2010, at 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Hospice by the Sea. Arrangements entrusted to: Kraeer Funeral Home, 200 North Federal Highway, Pompano Beach, FL 33062. (954) 941-4111 www.kraeerpompanobeach.net
