TAYLOR Carol E. Taylor, wife of Dean F. Taylor of Shelton, entered into rest on Thursday, October 30, 2003, at Yale-New Haven Hospital, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Bridgeport, on September 30, 1938, daughter of the late Evelyn and Lloyd Young, and was a lifelong resident of Shelton. Together with her husband and son, Mrs. Taylor was owner of Jeremiah’s Bar and Grille in the White Hills section of Shelton, and was also employed part time at Collect Associates in Shelton. Besides her husband, she leaves a son, Eric Taylor and his wife, Amy, of Derby; a daughter, Kimberly Manning and her husband, Brad, of Cheshire; and the lights of her life, her beloved grandchildren, Kyle and Andrew Manning. Carol was blessed with a large family, and leaves her sisters, Gladys Benson of Cheshire, Sandy Siraco of Shelton, Patricia Brown of Shelton, and Deborah McGowan of Oxford; her brothers, Richard Euerle of Florida, Louis Euerle of Maryland, and Kenneth Young of Indiana; and many nieces and nephews. Her family and friends will greatly miss her warmth, generosity and thoughtfulness. Friends may greet her family at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton, on Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. Her funeral will leave the Riverview Funeral Home on Monday at 9:45 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church in Shelton. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
