She was predeceased by her parents, Kenneth and Lailah Hadden; son, Kenneth Jacobs; sisters, Nancy Spore and Linda Brister; sister-in-law, Priscilla Dunn; and husband, Kenneth R. Dunn, Jr. who passed away in December 2013. Carol is survived by her family: two daughters and son-in-law, Penny and Mike English, Sandy and Ray Adams; two sons and a daughter-in-law, John and Kimberly Jacobs, Richard A. Jacobs Jr.; mother-in-law, Ellen Dunn; four stepdaughters, Darla, Cheryl, Sheila, Kimberly, and their families; 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Mary and George Lewis; also several nieces and nephews. Carol attended Hawleyton United Methodist Church. She worked for Ideal Laundry and was a retired employee of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. Carol loved life and will always be remembered for the smile on her face and holding hands. Funeral services will be held at the J.F. Rice Funeral Home Inc., 150 Main St., Johnson City on Monday, May 12, 2014, at 11 a.m. with Rev. William L. Puckey officiating. Burial will be in Tioga Cemetery, Owego, NY. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 10 a.m. until time of services. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make memorial contributions to Hawleyton United Methodist Church, 901 Hawleyton Rd., Binghamton, NY 13903 in Carol's name.
