Carol was an amazing wife and mother with a generous giving spirit who taught us all unconditional love. Carol was predeceased by her parents, Andrew and Rose Lawton; brother, Roland and Laveta Lawton. Carol is survived by her husband, Donald Cox, of 58 memorable and loving years. Carol is survived by her sons and daughters, David (Marci) Cox, Charlotte (Fred) Holly, Donald J (Cherri) Cox, Carol (Anthony) Silvestri, Diane (Anthony) Warner, Douglass (Bernadette) Cox, and Christen Cox; grandchildren, Andrew (Jennifer) Owens, Dr. Amanda (Christopher) Semonche, Jessica Owens, Justin Cox, Ashley (Brian) Elmendorf, John (Chrissy) Cox, Adam Cox, Elizabeth Cox, Beth (John) Cleary, Katie Silvestri, Patrick Warner, Ryan (Andrea) Warner, Makayla Cox; as well as 16 great-grandchildren, Andrew, Isaiah, Alison, Addison, Adalina, Mae-Bell, Ethan, Karen, Breanna, Dominic, Kayshawn, Kassidy, Kaleb, Jamie, Colton and Aiden. Carol is also remembered by her niece, Pamela (Christopher) Gjormand, Michael and Mathew; nephew, Jerry (Cha) Lawton and Mark Lawton. Carol has many lifelong treasured friends and will be dearly missed. When her boys were younger, Carol was a member of the O.L. Davis Fire Auxiliary. Carol joyfully filled her life with song as a member of the BC POPS Chorus, Welch Coral, and St. Ambrose choir. Carol's beautiful soprano voice joins the choir of angels as they lead her home. Her family wishes to extend thanks to those who came to know her spirit as they provided comfort and care. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday 1 p.m. from the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 East Main Street, Endicott, with the Reverend Father Clarence Rumble, Pastor of her church, officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City, at the convenience of the family. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home Monday (today) from 1-4 p.m.
