Carol Ann Smith, 71, Magnolia Ave., Holly Hill, passed away Wednesday, (October 21, 2009) at the Hospice Care Center in Port Orange. She was a native of Pittsburgh, PA and moved here from that area in 1981. A homemaker and good neighbor, Carol attended St. Paul's Catholic Church. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting and working hard on her son's nerves. In lieu of other remembrances the family suggests donations be made to Hospice of Volusia/Flagler, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, FL 32119. Survivors include a daughter, Cheryl Rizzo (Brian), Port Orange; two sons, James Smith (Harmony), Deltona and Richard Smith (Rose), Holly Hill; sister, Debbie Bozzard, Atlantic, PA; brother, Tom Miller, Sandy Lake, PA; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
