GLENBURN - Carol Ann Whalen Green, 63, died April 1, 2010, at a Bangor health care facility. She was born April 3, 1946, in Skowhegan, the daughter of Joseph A. and Lucille E. (Perry) Paul. Carol worked at Eastern Maine Medical Center for 22 years as a CSS tech before her retirement. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed making a big dinner for the entire family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, and will be dearly missed. She is survived by a son, William "Bill" Whalen of Glenburn; a daughter, Terri Chapman and husband, Randy, of Glenburn; a brother, Richard Paul of Greenbush; a sister, Robin Oja of Bangor; two dear grandchildren, Jill and Emily; a brother-in-law, Charles Smith of Bangor; her loving yellow lab, Homer; nieces and nephews, Charlie, Michael, Amanda, Amy, Brandy, Heather, Meghan and Joseph "Jo Jo"; many other extended family members and friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Cindy. Friends may call 1-2 p.m. Monday, April 5, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where funeral services will begin 2 p.m. with the Rev. Cynthia Nickerson, pastor of Corinth United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be at Lakeview Cemetery, Glenburn.
