JOHNSON _ Carmen Rose Bernice September 8, 1986 - December 17, 2006 We are grieving the loss of Carmen Johnson who tragically succumbed to the injuries that she sustained in a house fire on December 12, 2006. Carmen, 20, was born in Chilliwack BC and lived in North Delta. She graduated from North Delta Secondary School in 2004. Carmen was currently attending Kwantlen College and was registered to start at the University of Victoria next month. Carmen will be sadly missed by her Mother, Willie-Jean Johnson (Ian Touchet), her Grandmother Rose Trotman, her Father, David Chilson, her Grandfather, Albert Johnson and many relatives and friends. Also left to mourn is Carmen's long time best friend Dani Metcalfe as well as Michael Hurley. Carmen is predeceased by her sister, Cassandra and her close friend Jeremy Babyak who both died in the same house fire. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, December 22, 2006 at 4:00 p.m. at Valley View Funeral Home 14660 - 72nd Avenue, Surrey. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Johnson Family Trust Fund at any Envision Credit Union branch, account number 293654. Donations will be used to help set up a scholarship in memory of Cassandra and Carmen. The family would like to thank all the wonderful staff at VGH.
