CLARENDON - Carlene A. Davis, 73, died May 15, 2013, at her home.She was born in Hubbardton, April 28, 1938, daughter of Clyde and Guila (St. John) Ackley. Carlene was a graduate of Rutland High School. She was employed at General Electric Co. for many years. Carlene was an avid supporter of Mill River Union High School Athletics. She enjoyed quilting and traveling. Surviving are two daughters, Cathi Gregory and her husband, Bob of Chippenhook, and Jodi Davis of Clarendon; a brother, Bill Ackley of Rutland; a sister, Norma Ferguson of Pink Hill, N.C.; five grandchildren, Gary Gregory and his wife, Sara, Sarah Gregory, Zach Davis, Lucas Davis and Shane Davis; one great-granddaughter, Lilyanne Carlene Gregory; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Scott Davis; her former husband, Norman J. Davis; two brothers and a sister, Myron Ackley, Russ Ackley and Audrey Arnado. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 20, 2013, in East Clarendon Cemetery. Officiating will be Cindy Yee, chaplain of RAVNA. Carlene's family thanks everyone who helped make her 75th birthday so special.
