Retired Truck Driver AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mr. Calvin Lee Morris passed away February 4, 2004, at East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro, at age 80. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m., on Sunday, February 8, 2004 at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Layman Larry Watkins officiating. Mr. Morris was the son of Jessie Henry Morris and Enner Smith (Morris). Mr. Morris was a truck driver for most of his life. His final eight years of employment were spent with the Senior Citizens Council, where he made many lifelong and heartfelt friends. Surviving family members include his loving wife, Carolyn Morris of Augusta; son, James 'Hank' Morris and wife, Sharon of Punta Gorda, Fla.; stepsons, Dewayne Dodd and wife, Michelle of Augusta, Joseph W. Dodd and wife, Dianne of Paragould, Ark.; granddaughter, Melissa Jones; brothers, John Morris and wife, Ruth of Martinez and Herschel Morris and wife, Latha of Grovetown. Mr. Morris was preceded in death b y his parents, one son, Calvin A. Morris and three brothers and three sisters. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes to have memorial contributions sent to the Alzheimer's Association of Augusta or the American Heart Association.
