Constance-Helen-Higgins Miller, née en 1925, conjointe de Christine Miller, fille de Clarence et Helen-F, est décédée le 23 novembre 2004 à l'âge de 79 ans.
MILLER, CONSTANCE HELEN HIGGINS, 79, died peacefully in the early evening of November 23, 2004. She died in the presence of her children; in her last days, she delighted in having her family gathered around her. Connie was born on March 23, 1925, in Cambridge, MA. She attended high school in the Cambridge area and Skidmore College. In 1959, she moved with her family to Orlando, FL, where she was employed for many years and was a faithful member of Christ the King Episcopal Church. She was a working woman and a single mother when each was rare. Her indomitable will and her great love were daily evident in the way she persevered in the face of the difficulties these posed. She provided a full life for her children, emphasizing education and facilitating their attainment of college and graduate degrees. Her sacrifices and efforts on behalf of her children were monumental and she was greatly respected for this. Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Helen F. Higgins, and by her brothers, Ken & Terry Higgins. She is survived by loving children, Ross Miller, Cindy Miller, Candee Vaden; nieces & nephews, Wendy Higgins- Perez, Kenny Higgins, Jeffrey Higgins, and Holly Higgins; grandchildren Lindsay & Jamie Schell, Molly and Emma Ryanmiller, and Sarah and Matthew Miller and their mother Christine Miller; son-in-law Bill Vaden and his sisters and parents; daughter-in-law, Bernadette Ryan; "sister" Norma Miani and her family, Leon, Lino, Tina, Jeannie, Cindy and Ken; and friends and relatives in New England and Florida. A memorial service will be held at Christ the King Episcopal Church, 26 Willow Drive, Azalea Park on Friday, Nov. 26, at 11AM. A reception will follow the service. The family would like to thank all of her caregivers during the last year of her life, especially Dr. Bernadette Ryan and Drs. Richtsmeir, Healy, Sturn, and Zeghenbot, as well as the staff of Hospice of the Comforter, including Barb, Lorna, Mary, Susan, Donna, Mary Cay, Sharon, David, and Vicki. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Connie's name to Hospice of the Comforter, Altamonte Springs, FL, The Louis Busch Hager Cancer Center, Cooperstown, NY, and Christ the King Episcopal Church, Orlando. The family thanks God for Connie's life and is eternally grateful to Connie for all that she has done for us. Peace be with you.
