SMITH, CONNIE LYNN - was born April 30, 1949, and went to be with Jesus on July 23, 2014. She was an active member of West Park Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Don and Eula Smith; her grandmother, Bessie Widner; and her beloved dog, Hopi. She is survived by her sisters Carol Bowlby and Sonya Todd; brothers-in-law, Larry Bowlby and Johnny Todd; niece, Sarah Bunch; nephew, Nathan Todd; their spouses; and many great nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 27, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. with a memorial service following at 7:00 p.m. at West Park Baptist Church auditorium at 8833 Middlebrook Pike. Pastor Bob St. John will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you consider a donation to her favorite charity, Serenity Shelter, where she was a faithful volunteer. Donations can be sent to West Park Baptist Church in Connie's memory. Cremation services provided by East Tennessee Mortuary Service.
