Christine A. Johnson West Melbourne Christine A. Johnson age 66, of West Melbourne died Wednesday June 2, 2010 after a five year battle with Multiple Myeloma. She was born July 25, 1944 in Rockford, IL; and had been a resident of West Melbourne for 12 years. Mrs. Johnson moved here from Lakeland, FL where she taught 2nd Grade at St. Josephs Catholic School. She was a member of Ascension Catholic Church of Melbourne. Members of her family include her husband of 45 years, Conway Johnson, a son, Eric Johnson and a daughter, Nicole Hymel. 2 sisters, Bernice Gaffney, and Teresa Schoster, and 4 grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Martin Johnson and a brother, Claude Verble. Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m., Tuesday June 8, 2010 at Beach Funeral Home 4999 Wickham Rd., Melbourne, FL. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at Ascension Catholic Church in Melbourne with Interment to follow at Florida Memorial Gardens in Rockledge.
