FAIRFIELD -- Cheryl Diane Carr, 62, died peacefully with family by her side at Maine Medical Center in Portland on Sunday, Aug. 4, 2013.She was born in Pasadena, Calif., on Feb. 2, 1951, the daughter of Richard and Irene (Butterfield) Lintz, and was raised alongside her brothers, Randy and Danny.She attended Eisenhower High School in Rialto, Calif., graduating with the class of 1969. Cheryl Lintz married Bradley Carr on Nov. 30, 1972, and together they had two children, Bradley Jr. and Jacqueline.Cheryl loved all animals, but her greatest passion was dogs. She owned and operated her own business, Magic Hands Pet Grooming, for 15 years. She loved to frequent dog shows and mingle with other canine enthusiasts. She was a great cook, had a house full of Betty Boop memorabilia and loved Johnny Depp movies. Cheryl was a loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend. She will be truly missed.She is survived by her son, Bradley Scott Carr Jr., his fiancee, Melissa Lemieux, and their son, Garrett Matthew Carr, of Fairfield; her daughter, Jacqueline Michelle Carr, her fiance, Greg Cox, and their "bun in the oven" (who is yet to be named), of Cape Coral, Fla.; her brothers, Randy Lintz and his children, Sean, Natalie and Noah, of Manteca, Calif., and Dan Lintz and his wife, Nikki, and their daughter, Megan, all of Benicia, Calif., and their son, Adam, and his wife, Courtney, and their children, Ian and Nadia, of Draper, Utah.At the family's request, there will be no visiting hours. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Family and friends will be notified.Expressions of sympathy may be mailed to 4 Hooper Lane, Fairfield, ME 04937.
