BOBBITT, CHARLES, age 74, of Orlando, returned to his Heavenly Father on April 28, 2004. Charlie was born on January 15, 1930, in Raleigh, North Carolina to Charlie and Nell Bobbitt. Charlie married the love of his life, Katie in 1951. Charlie was a structural engineer. His work ranged from launch pads at Cape Canaveral, to revolving restaurants, to attractions at Disney World. He distinguished himself as a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and served his country as a Lieutenant (Junior Grade) in the Navy. Charlie loved his catholic faith and especially the community of the Catholic Church. The people of his faith community loved him and cared for him to the very end. Charlie always looked forward to the day that he would be with his infant daughter, Mary Martha in Heaven. Charlie is survived by his lifelong love, his wife, Katie; brother/spouse: Ike and Gloria; children/spouses: Chuck and Cheryl, Amy and Marty, Ben and Linda; and grandchildren/spouses: Stacey and Stephen, Kyle and Ashley. The visitation & funeral service will be held on Fri. April 30th, at 4PM and 6PM respectively at Family Funeral Care (407) 812-4200. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Comforter in Altamonte Springs, Florida.
