CATHERINE H. BAILEY "MOTHER BAILEY" EAST CHICAGO, IN Catherine H. Bailey "Mother Bailey", age 81, of East Chicago passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at home. Survived by five daughters: Troyce Golden, Torelia "Yvonne" (Roy) Landrum, Claudette Pickens, Shirley (Tony) Fleming, Cathy (Sean) Sparks; one son, Clarence (Tracey) Peak; special grandson, Gerelle Bates; 20 grandchildren, 22 great-granchildren; two sisters, 12 brothers, one brother-in-law; treasured friend, Annie Anderson; and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, September 3, 2014, 11:00 a.m. at Flanner & Buchanan Washington Park North, 2706 Kessler Blvd. West Drive, Indianapolis, IN, Rev. Greg Smith officiating. Interment Washington Park North Cemetery, Indianapolis. Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at Hinton & Williams Funeral Home, 4859 Alexander Avenue, East Chicago from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. and Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at at Flanner & Buchanan Washington Park North from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. prior to the funeral service. Mrs. Bailey was retired from St. Catherine Hospital Dietary Department and was a devoted childcare provider and community activist. The family is requesting that all flowers be sent to the Flanner & Buchanan location in Indianapolis.
