Carolyn-Johnson Smith, conjointe de Paul Smith, mère de Orlando, Deborah, Atlanta et Karen, est décédée à l'âge de 86 ans. Veuillez consulter son avis de décès ici:
SMITH, CAROLYN JOHNSON, 86, passed away Sunday, June 8th. Mrs. Smith was a retired teacher. She taught first grade for 2 years at Mollie Ray Elementary and 18 years at Dover Shores Elementary. She retired in 1979. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1917. Mrs. Smith married her college sweetheart, had a family and dutifully moved all over the country wherever her engineer husband, Paul Smith, was transferred. After moving to Orlando, Mrs. Smith began her teaching career in 1959. She called the Orange County school board to see about substituting so she could ease into teaching. But she was told "No, we need teachers!" That was the beginning of a rewarding 20 years. Mrs. Smith had a positive influence on a great many students and parents. Mrs. Smith was a great role model as a mother and a grandmother. She is survived by two daughters, Karen Woodward, Atlanta (husband Fred) and Deborah Lewis, Orlando (husband Del), four grandchildren, Kelley Norman (husband Tim), Scott Woodward, Laura and Cheryl Lewis and one great-grandson, Jacob Norman. A memorial service will be held Friday, June 13th, 6PM in the chapel at Winter Park Towers, 1111 South Lakemont, Winter Park Florida. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimers Association.
