Carol A. Smith, 74, of Glenville passed into eternal life on Thursday evening at her residence. Born in Schenectady she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Mary Hamel Smith, Sr. Carol worked as a radiologic technician for many years. She was the first woman to be assigned to do special radiologic procedures at The National Instutite of Health in Bethesda Maryland. Carol was an avid bird watcher and loved animals. Carol is survived by her loving and devoted daughter Elizabeth (AJ) Catone of Latham and was predeceased by a brother, Raymond Smith, Jr., and by a sister, Bernardine Smith. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Monday, June 8th, at 10 a.m. at The Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery in Niskayuna. There are no viewing hours.
