LONDONDERRY - Carl Mitchell of Hawthorne, Fla., and Londonderry, left this world on Jan. 20, 2014, after losing his battle with cancer. He leaves behind his wife of 58 years, Margaret Morgan Mitchell; children, Susan of Manchester, Carl Jr. (Laura) of Dunbarton, Shirley Polvere (Jerry) of Gainesville, Fla., Raymond of Manchester, Shelly and Joseph Morrissey of Weathersfield, Conn., and Brian and Wendy of Goffstown; sisters-in-law, Patricia of Weymouth, Mass., Catherine Carpenter of Dorchester, Mass., Dorothy Reed (Paul) of Kingston, Mass., Jean Blackler (Robert) of East Boston, Mass.; 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, and many, many friends. Carl was in the U.S. Marine Corps in the 1950s, attaining the rank of sergeant. Later on, he built and installed commercial kitchen equipment for more than 40 years in Dorchester, Mass., before having a stroke and retiring. He will be missed by us all. . services: A funeral Mass will be said for Carl at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 8, at St. Jude's Church on Mammoth Road in Londonderry. All are welcome to attend.
