Athens - Cecil Ray Edwards, 65, died Saturday, May 5, 2007.A native of Clarke County, Mr. Edwards was a son of the late Joe S. and Juanita Elrod Edwards and was preceded in death by his brothers, Darrell and Bobby Edwards, and sister, Hilda Malcolm. He was a member of Central Baptist Church and Bogart Masonic Lodge #507.Survivors include his wife, Diane Edwards, of Athens; children, Michael R. Edwards and his wife, Kay, of Hull, Adam R. Edwards and his wife, Jessica, of Watkinsville, and Andrew J. Wilkes, of Colbert; daughter-in-law, Crystal Edwards; grandchildren, Thomas Edwards, Aidan Edwards and Brian Wilkes; brother-in-law, Boyd G. Malcolm, of Athens and one niece and one nephew.Private services were held Sunday, May 6, 2007 at Bernstein Funeral Home.
