AUGUSTA, Ga. - C. Marvin Miller, 69, of Augusta, entered into rest Sunday, September 24, 2006 at the Georgia War Veterans Nursing Home. A native of Aberdeen, MS, he was a son of the late T.G. and Mary Nichols Miller. He was a longtime resident of Augusta, and retired after 22 years of service with Con Agra Feed Mill. Mr. Miller retired from the US Army after 22 years having served in the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He enjoyed playing the guitar, country music and spending time with his great grandchildren. Survivors include his children, Jennie Lynn Powell and her husband Randy, of Augusta, and Norman Lee Williams and his wife Paula, of Edgefield, SC; three sisters, Anna Wilma Sanders of Hamilton, MS, Frances Burks of Columbus, MS, and Marlyn Lee of Aberdeen, MS; three grandchildren, Kristal Bagwell and her husband Micheal, of Fort Bragg, NC, Brandi Powell of Augusta, and Courtney Williams of Edgefield, SC; and two great grandchildren, Kadence and Austin Bagwell both of Fort Bragg, NC. A graveside service will be held at 10:00AM Wednesday, September 27, 2006 at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Rev. Jerry Wilson officiating. Military honors will be accorded by the Fort Gordon Ceremonial Detachment. The family will receive friends at the home of Jennie Lynn and Randy Powell from 6-8:00PM Tuesday evening. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Georgia War Veterans Nursing Home; 1101 15th Street, Augusta, GA 30901.
