McKenzie, C. Donald BALLSTON LAKE C. Donald McKenzie, 84, of Ballston Lake and Myrtle Beach, died Wednesday, October 31, 2007 in Myrtle Beach. Mr. McKenzie was born in Albany and resided in the area most of his life. He was a graduate of Union College. He was a finance manager for General Electric for 43 years, retiring in 1986. He was in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. Mr. Mckenzie was a member of Scotia Rotary, Beukendall Lodge, Scottish Rite member, and district deputee for the Scottish Rite. He was a Shriner, a 33rd Degree Mason and past potentate of Cypress Temple. Mr. McKenzie was predeceased by his first wife, Alberta Archer McKenzie; two brothers, James W. McKenzie Jr. and Robert B. McKenzie. Survived by his wife, Lois Archer McKenzie; two sons, William McKenzie and his wife Denise of Canandaigua, N.Y. and David McKenzie and his wife Diane of Castle Rock; two daughters, Marsha Andrews and her husband Fletcher of Endicott, N.Y. and Karen Lavery and her husband Thomas of Niskayuna; stepchildren, Cheryl Goodman and her husband Lee, Donald Brown and Wesley Brown; seven grandchildren, four step-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Services Friday at 10:00 a.m. at the Daly Funeral Home, 242 McClellan St. Calling hours Thursday 6-8 p.m. Burial in Albany Rural Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Union College, 807 Union St., Schenectady, NY 12308, Shriner's Hospital for Crippled Children, 1402 Outer Belt Drive, Houston, TX 77028 or to Alzheimer's Assoc., 85 Watervliet Ave., Albany, NY 12206. Members of the Beukendaal Lodge will meet Thursday at the funeral home for a 7:30 p.m. service.
