BRUCE D. WRIGHT VALPARAISO, IN Bruce D. Wright, 85 of Valparaiso, passed away Wednesday, January 9, 2013. He was born June 25, 1927 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Charles D. and Grace M. (Joyner) Wright. Bruce was US Army Veteran, and was a manager and owner of a motel. He was a member of the Real Life Community Church, the Portage American Legion and the Bonner Senior Center. He loved rebuilding cars. On May 25 1952 in Keokuk, Iowa, he married Norma Jean Young, who survives in Valparaiso. Also surviving are his children: BruceAnn (James) Singleton of Valparaiso and Brice Daniel Wright of Iowa; three grandchildren; five great grandchildren and a brother Benjamin L. Wright of Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents; nine brothers; and three sisters. Memorial Services will be held Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at 6:00 PM at the Real Life Community Church, 3134 Swanson Road, Portage. Visitation will be held Tuesday, 5:00 PM until time of services at 6:00 PM at the church. Memorial Contributions may be made to Bonner Senior Center in Portage.
