Brielle Elizabeth Laplante 1998-2012 EAST LONGMEADOW-Brielle Elizabeth Laplante, 13, of East Long-meadow passed away peacefully early Sunday morning, August 26, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family. Brielle, beautiful daughter of William and Tamara Laplante was born in Springfield on December 9, 1998. Raised in East Longmeadow, Brielle was a student attending Birchland Park Middle School and was the NUMBER #1 FAN of the East Longmeadow High School Girls Basketball team. Brielle loved cooking, making jewelry, and sewing. Brielle's contagious smile and laughter will be dearly missed by all. Brielle was predeceased by her paternal grandmother, Bobette Laplante. In addition to her parents, Brielle is survived by her sister Jaclyn Laplante at home; her paternal grandparents, Raymond and Kathleen Laplante of East Longmeadow; her maternal grandparents, Lorraine Hourigan of Meriden, CT, John and Marian Hourigan of Cheshire, CT; her great maternal grandmother, Frances Gilmore of Meriden, CT and her great maternal grandfather, John R. Hourigan of Meriden, CT; her aunts, Monique, Martine, Stacia, Jill, Marie, and Alyssa; her uncles, Ray J, Rob, Jack, Mike, and Eddie; her cousins, Liane, Becca, Robbie, Rachel, Elizabeth, Megan, Jack, Olivia, Ava, Mikey; numerous friends, and her loyal companion, her dog Daisy. Visiting hours for Brielle will be held on Thursday, August 30, 2012 from 3 to 7 p.m. at Sampson's Chapel of the Acres Funeral Home, 21 Tinkham Road, Springfield. Friends are asked to meet on Friday, August 31, 2012 at St. Michael's Church, 110 Maple Street, East Longmeadow to Celebrate the Liturgy of Christian Burial for Brielle at 10 a.m. Rites of Committal and Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 421 Tinkham Road, Springfield.
