Bridget Ann (Nancy) Connolly (nee Earley) of Crestview, Fla., passed away May 19, 2012. Family members were with her during her final hours as she went to rest after a lengthy battle. She was 80 years old.Bridget is survived by her sons, Patrick (Tracee), Thomas, and Kieran (Melissa); daughter, Deirdre (Oliver) Schmidt; grandchildren, Leslie, Sean, Thomas, Liam and Rylan; great-grandson, Jakob; and her sisters, Mary (Pat) Delaney and Eileen Gauck. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas, of Galway, Ireland; and her parents, Patrick and Bridget Earley of Cavan and Wexford, Ireland, respectively. We would like to thank the many people that provided help and friendship to Bridget and the family during this time. The staff at Shoal Creek Rehab 700 Wing were her friends while she fought her illness, and the professionals at North Okaloosa Medical Center were a true blessing to Bridget and family. The Connolly family offers our deepest appreciation for their comfort and support. The volunteers and staff from Our Lady of Victory Church provided solace and spiritual comfort to Bridget during the years she was homebound. Covenant Hospice was also on hand providing their selfless service. Visitation and Rosary will be held on Tuesday at Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home with family time from 5 to 6 p.m., viewing from 6 to 8 p.m., and a Rosary at 7 p.m. Her funeral will be at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 24.Whitehurst-Powell Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
