Brian M. Hurley, 69, died Nov. 16, 2006, at his home in Spanish Lakes He was born in New York City and lived in Port St. Lucie for 28 years, coming from Union Island in the Grenadines, West Indies. Before retirement, he was a building official for the city of Port St. Lucie. He also was the former owner of A. Goode Florist. He was a member of the Building Officials of Florida, the Southern Building Code Conference, St. Lucie Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Survivors include his wife of 23 years, Elizabeth Hurley of Port St. Lucie; daughters, Michelle Rolfhus of San Antonio, Texas, and Melinda Tromba of Port St. Lucie; sisters, Moira McAveney of Mineral, Va., Cathleen Lawrence of Great Falls, Va., Brenda Sauerwald of Chalfont, Pa., and Ellen Hurley of Los Angeles; brother, Sean Hurley of Rockville, Maryland; and one grandchild. SERVICES: Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Nov. 19 at the Byrd, Young and Prill Port St. Lucie Funeral Home with a Vigil Prayer Service at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Nov. 20 at St. Lucie Catholic Church with burial following at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City.
