Brian Hurleyformerly of Tewksbury; 59 LAKE OSWEGO, OR -- Brian Hurley, age 59, passed away on August 11, 2013, following a courageous six month battle with cancer. He was the beloved husband of Catherine Grande Bell.Brian was born February 10, 1954, a son of the late John and Geneva (Stockbridge) Hurley. He was raised in Tewksbury and graduated T.M.H.S. with the Class of 1971. He earned a degree in Plastic Engineering from Lowell Technical Institute, now the University of Massachusetts, Lowell, and began his career at Occidental Petroleum. He transferred to General Electric, where he had worked for over 35 years, most recently as Senior Vice President of General Electric Asset Management company. For many years Brian lived in Plymouth and Canton townships in Michigan, and also in Lake Oswego, Oregon.Brian will be remembered as a respected businessman, loyal friend and leaves us with countless memories of his boundless energy, absolute dedication to a job well done, an unwavering positive attitude, and will continue to be an inspiration and a true example of a life well lived.Besides his wife he leaves two sons, Matthew David Hurley of N.Y.C. and Michael Brian Hurley of Plymouth, MI; a step son, Braden Grande Bell of Lake Oswego; a brother, John Hurley of Tewksbury; two sisters, Kathleen McBride of Merrimack, NH and Pam Derry and her husband Marshall Derry of Nashua, NH; several nephews and a niece.HURLEY -- of Lake Oswego, Oregon, formerly of Tewksbury.
