STUART, Brenda Dorothy Joy - Brenda Stuart died in Aurora on Saturday, 24 September 2011 in her 91st year after a long and interesting life, bright and feisty almost to the end. Dear wife of the late William C. (Bill) Stuart. Loving mother of Jacqueline, Allison, David, and the late Neil. Caring mother-in-law of Brenda II and grandmother of Lindsey, Daniel, and Sarah Caitlin. The beloved only child of Dorothy Wood Davies Helme, Brenda came to Canada from England as a war bride in 1947. She and Bill and their family lived in Toronto, Montreal West, Pointe Claire, Hudson, and Toronto again, and enjoyed holiday homes in Holmes Beach and on Peninsula Lake. Friends will be received at the Thompson Funeral Home, 530 Industrial Parkway South, Aurora (905-727-5421) on Monday, September 26, 2011 from 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 27, at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. Memorial donations would be welcomed by the charity of your choice; one of Brenda's favourites was World Vision Canada.
