Brenda Burrell Clark, 60, of Travelers Rest, went to be with Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior, on Monday, Jan. 30, 2006, in the Hospice of the Upstate after an extended illness.Born on Jan. 15, 1946, in Danville, Va., she was the daughter of the late Herman H. Burrell and Alma Lois Strange Anderson. Brenda was a 1964 graduate of Wade Hampton High School and was a faithful member of Harmony Fellowship Church. She was employed with BB&T Bank for the past nine years, having worked in the mortgage loan department.Survivors include her husband of 41 years, James H. Clark Jr. of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, David James Clark and wife, Chris, of Greenville; a daughter, Angela Gail Clark and her fiance, Glenn Taylor Jr. of Travelers Rest; two grandsons, Jonathan David Clark and Matthew Christopher Clark; a sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and Donnie Wooten of Taylors; a brother and sister-in-law, Louis and Carol Burrell of Blue Ridge; five nieces; and four nephews.Funeral services will be held Thursday, Feb. 2, 2006, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the Woodlawn Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Dan Smith and the Rev. Bill Sipe. Interment will follow in the Woodlawn Memorial Park.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 at the Woodlawn Funeral Home.Woodlawn Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
