<!-- FH = Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road -->Bobby "Bob" Joe Smith, 77, of 108 Edgewood Avenue, went home to be with his Lord and Saviour Thursday December 2, 2010Mr. Smith was born in Pickens, a son of the late Robert G. and Gladys Crane Smith. He was employed with Finley Insulators and was an active member and choir director of Winding Creek Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.Surviving are three sons, Tony Gantt (Debbie), of Easley, Eric Gantt (Allison) and Tony Smith (Gayla), all of Liberty; a daughter, Brenda Turner (Gene), of Easley; a brother, Reverend Buddy Smith (Doris), of Lenoir, NC; a sister, Loraetta Riggins, of Easley; a daughter-in-Law, Tracy Gantt, of Easley; 8 grandchildren, Joey Turner, Kelli Willimon, Travis Gantt, Courtney Gantt, Nikki Freeman, Justin Smith, Aimee Spence and Lindsey Gantt; 9 great-grandchildren.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 31 years, Louise Snipes Smith; two sons, Steven Lee Smith and Monte R. Gantt and a great-grandchild, Caroline Turner.Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Monday at Winding Creek Baptist Church with the Reverend Doyle Finley, Reverend Joey Turner and Reverend John Parker officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.Visitation will be from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM Sunday at Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road.The family is at the home.Memorials may be made to Winding Creek Baptist Church, 511 Winding Church Road, Norris, SC 29667.Condolences may be expressed online at www.robinsonfuneralhomes.com or in person at Robinson Funeral Home - Powdersville Road, which is assisting the family.
