LOWELL -- Blanche M. (Boudreau) Mercier, 99, a lifelong resident of the Centralville section of Lowell, died Friday evening, Nov. 3, in Lowell.She was the wife of the late Napolean R. Mercier.She was born in Lowell, Sept. 24, 1907, daughter of the late Oliva and Helen (Young) Boudreau.Before retiring, Mrs. Mercier had been employed as the chief inspector at Ideal Dress Co. in Lowell for many years.Mrs. Mercier had been a communicant of the former St. Louis de France Church where she was a member of the St. Anne Sodality and the parish guild.She was also a contributor to the Franco-American Bread Fund.Mrs. Mercier enjoyed her family life and always looked forward to their gatherings.She is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Pauline E. and Raymond J. Berard of Dracut, Theresa C. Berard of Lowell, and Doris Bellerose and Gerard Bellerose Sr. of Lowell with whom she resided for 40 years.She is also survived by nine grandchildren and their spouses, Gerard E. Bellerose Jr. and Judy Bellerose of Manchester, N.H., Gary R. andMaureen Bellerose of Hudson, N.H., Elaine and Robert Santos of Westchester, Ohio, Linda Poulin and her companion, David Finnegan of Dracut, and Sheila McMahon of Dracut, Rachel and Michael Aubin, and Michelle and James Jordan, all of Lowell, Robert and Deana Berard of Tyngsboro, and Denise and Brian Hoey of Lowell; 17 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson; a sister, Doris Ducharme-Piexhote of Lowell;also several nieces and nephews.She was also the mother-in-law of the late Robert Berard, and sister of the late Brother Armel Boudreau BC, Henry and Albert Boudreau and Cecile Lausier-Martineau.
