DAVIS, BIRDIE LEE, 103, of Louisville, passed away Thursday, September 11, 2008, at Good Samaritan Home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Davis; and grandson, Jeremy Adam Davis. She was retired from the Kentucky State Probation and Parole Office and a former member of Farmdale Baptist Church. She is survived by a son, Owen "Bill" Davis; grandchildren, Paul Joseph "P. J." Davis and Sarah and Brian Davis; her second family, Sheila Atkinson and her children, Tara and Tim Dehart, Ashley Atkinson, Whitney Atkinson; grandchildren; Alexis Dehart and Makayla Dehart; along with many other friends and family and especially her earthly guardian angel, Michelle Bickel. Her funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday, September 15, 2008, at Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road, with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be noon - 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the family in care of Highlands Funeral Home.
