Mrs. Mildred Jane "Billie" Morris, age 80, of Elgin Crossroads, passed away at her home Tuesday evening, Nov. 14, 2006.Mrs. Morris worked for many years as a seamstress at Lexington Fabrics and Seasons II. She was a longtime member of Elgin Crossroads Church of Christ. She loved to garden and raise beautiful flowers.The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Elkins East Chapel Funeral Home, with Bobby Holden officiating. The burial will follow in Butler Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. today.She is survived by her husband of almost 60 years, Charles Roy Morris; sons, Larry Morris and wife, Brenda, Russellville, Ronnie and Janice Morris, Elgin Crossroads, and Tim Morris and wife, Melissa Morris, Elgin Crossroads; grandchildren, Clint Morris, Rhiannon Morris Smith and husband, B.J., Sara Morris, Tyler Morris and Carla Morris; sisters, Polly Patterson, Town Creek, Edna Dean Aday, Muscle Shoals, and Faye Ludeman and husband, Tom, Ohio; sister-in-law, Viola Mays, Illinois; many nieces and nephews, friends and neighbors.Pallbearers will be Clint Morris, Tyler Morris, B.J. Smith, Gene Walden, Lee Aday, Perry Walden, Dennis Patterson and Joe Wesley Patterson.The family would like to thank Hospice of the Shoals for the wonderful care given Mrs. Morris.
