Beverly Ruth Wright was born April 11, 1928, to John & Ferne (Carr) Wampfler in Whitesboro, NY, and passed away Saturday, March 14, 2009, in Panama City, Fla. In 1946 she married Kenneth Wright, Sr. and to this union five children were born: Richard, JoAnn, Carol, John and Kenneth. Mrs. Wright was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth in 1991; one sister, Caroline; two brothers, David and John in infancy; and a granddaughter, Kayla in infancy. Survivors include her children and their spouses, Richard Wright of Panama City, JoAnn Owen (John) of Talla-hassee, Carol Barfield (Dennis) of Tallahassee, John Wright and Kenneth Wright, Jr. (Kindhal) of Panama City; two sisters, Judy Bilawa (Dave) of Bellflower, Calif., and Susan Nelsen (Darrell) of Audubon, Iowa; a brother, Fritz Wampfler (Dina) of Harlingen, Texas; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Bev was a friend to all who knew her, and a special friend to Mary Phelan, Patti Nelson, Patti Newman, Keith and Kathy Davis, Ronnie and Sandra Childs and Jimmy Dutton. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister and will be dearly missed by all. Graveside funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. today, March 16, 2009, at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Don Hodges officiating. Interment will follow. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 p.m. until service time at 3 p.m. Asked to serve as pallbearers are Rick Wright, Jimmy Eliason, Chris Eliason, Dennis Barfield, II, Charles Webb and Kyle Wright.
