Beverly Cox 1938 - 2013 SPRINGFIELD - Beverly Cox, 74, passed away peacefully at home on Apr. 5th surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Worcester on July 5, 1938 to the late Peter and Olga Laukaitis. She graduated from the High School of Commerce in Worcester in 1957. A devout catholic, she was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church. Beverly worked at Mercy Hospital in the billing dept for over 27 years before her retirement. Her greatest joys were spending time with family and friends, traveling, going to the casinos and sewing. She also volunteered with a knitting group at the former Our Lady of Hope Church in making items for children in need. Beverly's family would like to thank the wonderful care provided to her by the staff at Mercy Hospice. She leaves her husband of 54 years, Vincent E. Cox, her daughter Sheila Rollend and her husband Richard of South Hadley, her son Kevin Cox of Westfield, her grandchildren Jessica and Ryan Rollend, her sisters Jean Berry, Nancy Brosnan and Eleanor Mazzone and her husband Nicky, sisters-in-laws Micky, Toni and Dorothy Laukaitis, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her siblings; Patricia, Al, Daniel, Eddie Laukaitis and brother-in-laws Dennis Brosnan and Robert Berry Sr. Funeral Services will be held TUESDAY 9 AM from the SAMPSON'S FUNERAL CHAPELS, 710 LIBERTY ST., SPFLD., followed by a 10 AM Liturgy of Christian Burial in Sacred Heart Church, 387 Chestnut St., Spfld. Burial will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, 1601 Main St., Spfld. Calling hours will be held MONDAY from 4 to 7 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mercy Hospice, 2112 Riverdale St., Suite 2, W. Spfld, MA 01089.
