Betty attended Phillips High School and Huntington College. She retired from the Internal Revenue Service in 1962 to be a mom, a homemaker, and a housewife. Betty attended Trinity United Methodist Church, was a volunteer at the Birmingham Museum of Art, an avid reader, and a lover of birds and flowers. Betty was preceded in death by her husband Stanley Eaton Goodwin. She is survived by her son Edward Goodwin, his wife Shea Goodwin, Granddaughters Haley Gibbs and Stefanie Hamilton, and her Great Grandson Landon Hamilton. A private graveside service was held at Elmwood Cemetery Special thanks to the staff at Meadowbrook Extended Care for their kind treatment and loving care.
