She attended Grace Baptist Church in Childersburg and was a Physical Therapy Assistant. She was the former president of the Childersburg Quilting Guild and was a member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy. Betty was preceded in death by parents: Ivan T. and Eunice Ann Waugh; brother: Gary Waugh and sons: Edward L. Bryant and Jefferey S. She is survived by her husband, Charles C. Bryant of Childersburg; sons, Charles C. Bryant Jr. (Gloria) of Chattanooga, TN and Steven R. Thomas (Linda) of Deatsville, AL; daughter, Kathy L. Stephens (Wayne) of Jacksonville, FL; daughter-in-law, Sandy Bryant of Verbena, AL; brothers, Allen Waugh (Linda) and Tom Waugh (Lisa); sisters, Jeanette Waugh Kassaw and Margaret Waugh Hart; 15 Grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on November 15, 2014; 11AM at Curtis and Son Childersburg Chapel with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Rev. Frank Thompson officiating. Visitation will be held on November 14, 2014, 5-8pm at Curtis and Son Childersburg Chapel.
