On Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2010, at 8:20 p.m., God called home one of His angels, Betty Sue White Wilson, to be at His side. Betty was born and raised in Panama City, Fla., and attended Bay County public schools. She accepted Christ as her personal savior at an early age and was a devoted Christian. Betty was preceded in death by her brother, Douglas Frazier White; mother, Flowrene Dixon White; father, Frazier F. White; and sister, Mary Helen Wooden. She leaves to mourn her death but also cherish her memories a loving and devoted husband, Robert L. Wilson of Panama City, Fla.; sister, the Rev. Juanita Carson of Orlando, Fla.; brother, Byron (Mary Helen) Clark of Panama City, Fla.; two aunts, Bessie Davis of Panama City, Fla., and Mary Russ of Salina, Kan.; one uncle, Lloyd White of Tallahassee, Fla.; five sisters-in-law, Johnnie K. (Emmerson) Addison of Wewahitchka, Fla., Evelyn (Anthony) Tharp, Delois (Jerry) Fisher, Barbara (Jimmy) Horne and Carol (Fredrick) Croon, all of Panama City, Fla.; three brothers-in-law, Robert Wooden, Johnell Wilson and Franklin Wilson, all of Panama City, Fla.; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Betty's greatest passion was hospitality. She was loved by so many and touched so many lives. Betty will be remembered as a beloved wife, sister, friend and confidant and will be greatly missed. Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 4, 2010, at the Battle Memorial Funeral Home chapel with Bishop Lonnie Mitchell officiating.
