She is survived by her daughter Susan McDonald Gaddy, Charleston. Marriages to Clifford F. Gaddy, Jr., Greenville, and Donald G. MacDonald, Mechanicsville, Va., ended in divorce.She graduated from Kershaw High School ('50), attended Converse College and received an A.B. History degree from UNC-Chapel Hill ('54). Her post-graduate studies were at USC-Columbia and UNC-Chapel Hill. She was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.She was the owner of Sue Gaddy Interiors, Greenville.She was on the faculty of Ashley Hall, Christ Church Episcopal School and Sandhills Academy; and public schools of Greenville, Richland and Williamsburg Counties. She was an academic tutor for USC and UNC athletics.She was a member of Delta Delta Delta, Chapel Hill, and Clarice Wilson Garden Club, Greenville; secretary of St. Catherine's School Parents Board, Richmond; and volunteer for Christ Church Episcopal, UNC-TV, ETV-SC and numerous Democratic campaigns.The Burial Service will be at Christ Church Episcopal (Markley Chapel), 10 N. Church St, Greenville, November 10 at 2 pm.
